'16 Sonoma Valley Petricka Vnyrd Merlot

The Sonoma Valley Merlot comes from the Petricka Vineyard, just south of the town of Sonoma, grown in the warm alluvial soil of the Mayacamas Mountains. Limited by the sparse soil, this vineyard is naturally stressed, producing limited crop, small loose clusters and very small berries.

These concentrated grapes produce aromas of ripe blackberry and black cherry. This is complemented by a bouquet of sweet oak, anise, mint, and cocoa. The palate is rich with luscious plum and berry flavor, supple tannin and a long warm finish.
