2021 Altura Collection Dolcetto, Russian River Valley

Italian for “little sweet one,” our Dolcetto embodies anything but that. The beautiful vibrant purple color of this wine leads the way to aromatics of violets, graphite, and blackberries. The flavors on the palate show notes of plums, cedar, and cocoa. The tannins on this wine are big, but refined, leaving a lingering taste in your mouth that highlights all the flavors and aromatics. Try this Italian varietal with traditional lasagna or grilled ribeye with roasted brussels sprouts.
